Sample daily schedule for NTVT (Pre-College Singers Program)
Classical and non-classical repertoire

10am - 10:30am Physical Conditioning 
Dr. Lent

10:30am - 11:30 am   Navigating the Voice 
Dr. Lent + Voice faculty
In this daily Singing Technique Class, all singers will meet to explore and experience techniques for warming up the voice, increasing range and stamina, building a healthy singing instrument, and improving breath support.

11:30am - 12:30 pm Performance Master Class 
Dr. Lent + coaching faculty and/or directors
Singers will perform music they have already learned, and begin performing music they are assigned to learn in front of their peers, with feedback from Dr. Lent and from other members of the class. All genres of music are welcome!

12:30pm - 1:30pm Lunch

1:30pm - 3pm Instructional Block
Dr. Lent + faculty
Activities may include: 
PATH Class (Professionalism; Artistry; Technique; History)
Observation of Young Artist Masterclasses with Artist-Faculty
Rehearsal for final performance
Private lessons/coachings

3pm- 6 pm Elective Block 
Dr. Lent + faculty
Activities may include: 
Individual Practice
Private coaching or voice lessons 
Master Classes on:
Building your Audition Book and Audition Techniques for College and Musical Productions
Exploring your chest voice, mix voice, and head voice (classical and
non-classical singers)
Unlocking the Secrets of the Male Voice
Sight-singing Skills and Techniques
Singing in Harmony

Each session culminates in a final public performance in repertoire that showcases each participant's unique talents and skills as developed during  NTVT.  Each singer will present a solo and perform in one or more group numbers.   Friends, family, Festival Young Artists, and the general public are invited to attend this performance.
